Jess & Brians Wedding

Jess & Brian got married on Saturday the 11th December at the State library in NSW. For their wedding they had a classic vintage style in mind.

Jess chose to have Piony Roses for her flowers. Her colour theme was White with Chocolate Brown.
For her Bridesmaids and Flower Girl, they had a touch of Pink in their bouquets.

For Jess's bouquet, I added some Gold mini Gums for her and white Piony Roses. Jess's bouquet had a slight tear drop.

Jess also had a range of glass vases with fresh Roses and Piony Roses for her reception tables. These had a mix of Green Foliage or Bulb Foliage.

It was a beautiful wedding and I enjoyed doing the flowers to help make this day a success!

Congratulations Brian & Jess!

Hiba & Anthony's Wedding

For Hiba & Anthony's wedding, I did their flowers. Here are some of the pictures I took of their flowers that helped make their special day.

For the Bride & Bridesmaid's Bouquet, we used fresh Ivory Roses with Burgundy Calla Lilies and fake Cymbidium Orchids.

For the Church flowers we used fresh Tiger Lilies and Champagne Roses.

And one potted arrangement with fresh Ivory Roses.

Graduation

So on Monday the 24th May, I officially graduated from my TAFE course for Make Up. Which was a very interesting night.

The best news was that I was "Student of the Year"!

(receiving my award - sorry the picture isn't very clear, bad lighting)

Which I think is a great reward as I did this course whilst being pregnant and working part time. For some, this would be how life has to be but for me it was quite a big challenge as I was sick a lot and not getting much sleep.

However, I loved this course and I have no regrets for having to push myself. As I believe it was better for me in the long run, as it made me have to be more organised (than I already was) and stay faithful to my commitments. It helped reenforce my decision to continue to be more qualified and a better business woman.

So for the year ahead (which is 6 months already gone), I look forward to excelling more and producing many more completed "TO DO" tasks!

Wedding Flowers 2009

In the phase of starting a fresh for 2010, I will sum up some of what I got up to last year on the flowers side of business now.

I was able to provide flowers for 3 weddings. The first wedding I did was for Mark and Jacquie.
They had Ivory and White roses for their bouquets and button holes.

The second wedding I did had a very casual atmosphere set and so we arranged some white lilies and hot pink roses for the bride and her bridesmaid.

The third wedding I did was for a Philippino couple whose wedding was pastel colours of white with Lavender and apple green. The bouquets where made up of white roses and Purple tulips.

Here are some of the photos I took of the flowers for their big day...

Makeup from my TAFE Portfolio

So one thing I did in the end of 2009 was get my Cert 2 in Makeup.

I absolutely loved doing this course and it taught me so much about why I do what I do.

So here are a few of my favourite before and after shots that I created.

This first set is my very dramatic "Smoky Bride".

Then my "Melbourne Cup" inspired look.

Followed by my "Sunkissed Catwalk" Makeup look.

...getting back on track...

So I have not been on here in forever! I have been a bit preoccupied but never the less, I shall get into the swing of things once again.

One may ask, "what's been happening then?" and I will answer you with, "I had a BABY!"

So I would like to welcome into my new world, my little girl!

Now as one begins the newest chapter of being all grown up, I will continue to spread my business wings and make the most of being a mum, a woman on a mission .

I am ever more in love with my makeup, hair and flowers, that I am looking forward to the year ahead!

I will post some more pictures this week and I will get this thing happening once again.

In the meantime, Happy Mothers Day (today).

Love Sarah
