Philip and Lisa's Wedding - Flowers only

Philip and Lisa got married in January 2005.

They where a great couple to work with. As they where getting married in Summer and where quite a distance away, we arranged to have silk flowers for their wedding. It was also a great idea as their bridesmaids all came over form New Zealand for the wedding and where able to keep their bouquets. The other benefit of using silk flowers is that you can create a large bouquet and it wont break or bruise the flowers if they where in fact fresh.

The Brides Bouquet was made using Tiger Lilies and Calla Lilies as the main focus flowers, with orchids and berries with rich tropical greenery.

For the Bridesmaids, they had the deep Calla Lilies, orchids and some of the tropical leaves.

The Flower Girls had a mix of the brides Bouquet in a basket arrangement.

For the Groom and Groomsmen, they had fresh roses for their Buttonholes.

The throw away Bouquet was also made using fresh roses and ivy vine leaves to finish.

Sean and Jess's Wedding - Flowers

Sean and Jess where married in May 2005

They where a great couple to work with in organising their flower needs for their special day. Here are some photos of their flowers. The flowers where Pink Lilies for all bouquets, with roses for the button holes and a mix for the mums corsages.

Hair Trials

For Weddings, I like to get together with the bride and have a trial hair styling. This way the Bride to be and I get a feel for the type of look and feel for this special day. 

Here is some photos from Esther's Wedding Hair trial. Her wedding is the 5th April 09, so not long to go now...

If you have a wedding coming up or know someone who is, you can also have your hair styled for your engagement party. I did this for Melinda on the 31st January 09.

Moving House...

I am moving from a unit into a house in the next 2 weeks, which I am very excited about, as I will be able to have all my work in the one place, as apposed to having to use my parents house for doing my flowers...

So in the event of a new year, I am taking some major steps towards my goal of a great work space and environment! I cannot wait till I am all set up in the new place...

So as I haven't had time to do my updated collection pf photos of my work...here is a sneak peak from the last few weddings I have done.

I will be uploading photos over the weekend.

I have started to put together as much info as I can offer to give you a feel for each wedding...I can't believe I have done 10 weddings thus far...over the last 8 years...but most of my work has been in the last 2-3 years...

I love weddings and all that is involved on my end...being a creative person...making flowers for friends and clients is something I love! I have so much fun and love seeing the bride happy with the final work on the day...
